Saturday - Peterborough, Ontario

We had a fabulous group of Jewels attend the luncheon in Peterborough and it was very special for me as a friend I'd not seen since 2004 arrived, joined, and bought a new hat! Eileen and her husband Jon Greenberg who came in for a quick hello and hug came and what a thrill it was to see old friends in a city I'd not been to since I was a child.

The unfortunate thing about this road trip is we were so rushed that we really couldn't stop to explore our surroundings. The drive though was beautiful (OK, in spite of the rain!)

The vibe in the room in Peterborough was one of warmth and happiness. It was a wonderful feeling and we felt so welcomed. I was presented two paintings, one for myself and one for Sue painted by one of our Jewels.

At this event we had two vendors, one selling fascinators only and she sold out in no time as her facinators were beautiful! The other vendor was Billie McLean of "Everything Bling". Her prices were so reasonable and she had a diverse display of bling and hats and clothes! Billie is also a member of CJCS, and at 22, our youngest member and youngest Queen! She hopes to have her web site up soon so our Jewels across the country can order directly from her. When it's up we'll be posting the web address in our newsletter. If you want her to attend your event, you can contact her at  bbilliemclean@gmail.com

A Kingston, Ontario chapter is planning a CJCS Provincial Convention in May 2019 at the Ramada Hotel & Conference Ctr in Kingston - May 24-26, 2019. The cost is $250 and information will be available at www.kingstonregalia.net  Thanks to Queen Karen and her team!
